Making the transition from working 40+ hours a week for someone else to full-time affiliate and internet marketer definitely came with its challenges. After sitting down and thinking about what I would have liked to know initially embarking on this journey, this is what I came up with.

  1. Avoid Shiny Object Syndrome. If you are buying product after product, STOP! There is no quick fix, get rich RIGHT NOW, program out there. Trust me, I’ve looked and spent a lot of time and money testing and trying things to come to the simple conclusion: EVERY SYSTEM requires SOME work on your part. Be prepared for that. Remember this, if you can work 40 hours for someone else, you can definitely put in that time for yourself, building a business and a life of your dreams.
  1. Having The Right Mindset Is Required. Set a goal and stick to it until you achieve it. There will be tough times and situations where nothing seems to be going your way. At those times, I watch inspirational videos or listen to podcasts on changing your mindset. Just keep pushing forward. Successful people don’t quit. Successful people have the “every obstacle must give way” mentality. Adopt that mentality and you will be well on your way to the life you want.
  1. Learn Some Skills. You are headed towards entrepreneurship. That means you are willing to go a step above, right? You are not okay with being mediocre, you want to be the best, right? Well, in order for that to happen you will need to learn how to do the fundamentals. Some of the programs I found that were excellent at providing step-by-step instructions and the resources needed to be successful, in no particular order, are as follows;
  1. Take Massive Action. I’m one for a great education, however, what is a great education if you are not putting what you’ve learned into action? Whatever training you choose, put what the instructor or guru is saying into immediate action. If you run into some issues or things don’t seem to function how the program says it’s supposed to, utilize the support they provide to get your issue resolved. Do not let that slow you down or make you want to stop. You got this.
  1. Don’t Fear Traffic. When you build it, they will come. Some of the best advice I received regarding internet/online marketing is BE HONEST. Never advertise yourself as something you are not, and don’t promote anything unless you believe in the product. You can build an audience organically if they believe what you are saying, and they feel they can trust you. Take your time, research the product/promotion/webinar, and provide your audience with content that is visually appealing and adds value. Then, you will grow your list organically and attract buyers.
  2. Celebrate ALL of your WINS. No matter how big or small the victory, it should be celebrated. While you are building your business you MUST have an attitude of gratitude. If you make $24 in a day, and you expect at least $100, remember how important that $24 is and what it represents. First, you now have $24 more than you did before, and second, you are moving in the RIGHT direction…. UP! So, celebrate that $24 like it was $24,000, and so on. Any progress is still progress.

Now, the best content I’ve come across that breaks this all down rather nicely is the “You’ll Never Succeed Online” Report. It is so profound and so TRUE! Click here to download it for FREE.

You can have the life you want, but it is going to take some effort on your part to make it happen. You are worth the life you want! Go after it with everything you’ve got. You WON’T regret it! Till next time…stay blessed.
