I recently tested out KoalaWriter, one of the many AI writing tools available in the market, to see if it lived up to its hype. With so many options available, it can be daunting to choose the right one.

However, I found that KoalaWriter is one of the best content-creation tools for those looking to generate 10 or more articles per month.

While the paid plans of $9/month may seem functionally useless, resulting in just 1-2 blog posts per month when using their GPT4 model, KoalaWriter is an excellent choice for bigger businesses, affiliate marketers, and niche site owners.

Its features make it perfect, cost-effective, and simple to create high-quality content in bulk. In this KoalaWriter review, I’ll offer an unbiased opinion about whether it’s worth the investment to get AI-generated content.

What is KoalaWriter?

KoalaWriter is an exciting content generator that focuses on SEO. It sets itself apart from other AI tools by pulling in real-time search results and linking to sources. What’s more, it also features an AI chat option similar to ChatGPT. As someone who usually uses a combination of Yoast and ChatGPT for my articles, I believe KoalaWriter is the perfect combination of the two.

One of the best features of KoalaWriter is the option to include data from Google search results when the AI content is being created. This feature allows for up-to-date information to be incorporated into the article, making it more relevant and informative.

Additionally, KoalaWriter offers advanced options, including URLs to link to, a custom outline option, more title instructions, including another section, and disabling intros/conclusions.

Extra features

KoalaWriter also offers several other useful features, including:

  • Integration with WordPress: This feature allows businesses or any content creator looking to scale to have a one-click publishing tool.
  • Integration with Google Sheets: Using their API, you can get ChatGPT responses directly in a Google Sheet.
  • Live Amazon data for affiliate articles: This feature is great for bloggers who want valuable content creation at scale, especially when combined with the insert URL feature.
  • Bulk writing mode: This feature allows you to provide a bunch of comma-separated keywords, press “Bulk Create,” and come back a few hours later to see all your content done.

Overall, KoalaWriter is an excellent tool for content creators looking to streamline and accelerate their content production workflows. With its advanced language models like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, KoalaWriter can churn out high-quality blog posts with just a few clicks.

How much does KoalaWriter cost?

As I was researching the KoalaWriter, I was curious about the cost of using this tool. After digging deeper, I found that the cost of using KoalaWriter ranges from $0 to $2,000 a month, depending on the plan you choose.

The free version of KoalaWriter offers 5,000-lifetime words on the GPT 3.5 version, which is a great way to test the waters. However, it does not include access to GPT4, AI-powered SEO, live Amazon data, or real-time search results integration.

If you want to upgrade to the Essentials plan, it costs $9 per month and gives you access to real-time search results, AI-powered SEO, and other integrations. With this plan, you get 15,000 words, or 3,000 words using GPT4. Based on my calculations, this works out to be $1.20 per 2,000 word article or $6 per article if you use GPT4.

Moving up to the Starter plan, which costs $25 per month, you get 22,500 words, or 4,500 words using GPT4. This works out to be $1.11 per article using GPT3.5 or $5.55 per article using GPT4.

The Professional plan costs $49 per month and offers 50,000 words, or 10,000 words using GPT4. This works out to be $0.98 per article using GPT3.5 or $4.90 per article using GPT4.

If you want to go for the Boost plan, which costs $99 per month, you get 150,000 words, or 30,000 words using GPT4. This works out to be $0.79 per article or $3.96 per article using GPT4.

For the Growth plan, which costs $179 per month, you get 300,000 words, or 60,000 words using GPT4. This works out to be $0.72 per article or $3.58 per article using GPT4.

Finally, the Elite plan, which costs $350 per month, offers 500,000 words, or 100,000 words using GPT4. This works out to be $0.70 per article or $3.50 per article using GPT4.

It’s important to note that each plan has a limit on the number of words you can use, so you may run up against your limit if you use the tool frequently. Overall, I found that the Koala AI Writer is a cost-effective tool for creating high-quality blog posts quickly and efficiently.

Does this AI Writer create high-quality content?

Yes, KoalaWriter is a powerful AI-powered writing tool that can produce high-quality, SEO-optimized content. It leverages the power of OpenAI’s GPT technology to write long-form content comprehensively.

It can certainly pass AI detection. When I pasted an article into Content At Scale’s AI detector, it got a “Hard to Tell” rating, although it flagged some of the content as robotic.

Overall, KoalaWriter is a useful tool for creating content that is optimized for search engines and can save time and effort in the writing process. In my opinion, it’s the best option for those looking to create truly high-quality content.

My test with KoalaWriter

SEO results of KoalaWriter

I was excited to test the effectiveness of KoalaWriter’s SEO capabilities. I was looking for a tool that could not only create content but also rank it.

I use WordPress to publish my articles and Yoast for SEO. So I put it to the test and pasted a KoalaWriter written review article about the “best swim goggles for beginners” into WordPress.

Yoast gave it high praise, and the article passed with flying colors. It was so successful that it appeared on the first page of Google search results the very next day after I published it.

Who would I recommend KoalaWriter to?

As an experienced blogger and someone who values quality content, I would highly recommend KoalaWriter to Amazon affiliate article writers and niche website owners who create content at scale and prioritize SEO.

The tool’s AI-powered technology offers a quick and efficient way to generate high-quality, SEO-optimized content.

However, I would not recommend KoalaWriter to anyone with a personal blog, as the AI-generated content can come across as stilted and inorganic. Additionally, people who write think pieces or anything opinionated may not find the tool helpful.

For me, KoalaWriter was best used as an outline editor to help me focus on quality and get rid of repetitive sections. While I appreciate the tool’s ability to streamline the content creation process, I still value the art of writing for its own sake.

Overall, KoalaWriter is a great tool for those who prioritize efficiency and SEO in their content creation process, but may not be the best fit for those who value the creative process of writing.

KoalaWriter Vs…

After testing KoalaWriter, I believe it’s the best AI content generator for SEO content. It’s especially great for bloggers who blog as a business, niche blogs, and affiliate blogs. However, it may not be the best fit for social media content, opinionated content, or personal content.

To see how Koala Writer stacks up against its competitors, I compared it to ChatGPT, Jasper AI, and Copy.ai. Here’s a breakdown of the comparison:

Feature/Platform Copy.ai Jasper.ai ChatGPT Koala Writer
Purpose AI-powered copywriting tool AI content generator Conversational AI SEO AI writing assistant
Pricing Free plan 2000 words, $49/month after that No free plan, $39/month Free, $20 for GPT4 Free plan (5000 words), then $9 for 15,000 words
Use Cases Marketing copy, ads, emails, etc. Blog posts, ads, scripts, etc. Chatbots, virtual assistants Writing and editing assistance
Integration Web platform Web platform, API API, Web Web platform, API
Customization Limited templates Advanced templates Custom prompts Multiple customization options

In summary, for an SEO AI writer tool, KoalaWriter reigns supreme. It offers a free plan with 5000 words, affordable pricing, and multiple customization options. While its competitors may excel in other areas, KoalaWriter’s focus on SEO content makes it the clear winner.

User Experience and Interface

I’m thrilled with how easy it is to use the platform. The interface is streamlined, and it’s clear that the tool was designed to create SEO-optimized articles. I appreciate that there’s no additional feature bloat or unnecessary improvements, which make the experience more enjoyable.

Pros and Cons

As someone who produces a lot of content, I find KoalaWriter to be a cost-effective and streamlined platform for creating quality content in bulk. Here are some of the strengths and weaknesses of KoalaWriter:

Pros

  • KoalaWriter is a great tool for those producing 10+ articles per month. Its bulk writing mode allows for content generation at scale, making it ideal for bigger businesses, affiliate marketers, and niche site owners.

  • The platform focuses on creating SEO articles without unnecessary features, making it easy to use and navigate. It also provides real-time search results and links to sources, ensuring that your content is up-to-date and accurate.

  • KoalaWriter offers a variety of features like choosing article type, keyword input, GPT version selection, SEO options, AI image generator, tone of voice, language, country, and point of view selection. This allows for a highly customizable writing experience.

  • Integration with Google Sheets to get ChatGPT responses directly is a huge plus, as is the live Amazon data for affiliate articles.

  • KoalaWriter offers a range of pricing plans with different features and word limits, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

Cons

  • KoalaWriter may not be suitable for casual users or beginners in blogging, as it requires some level of technical expertise.

  • Some users may not find the paid plans, especially the $9/month plan, to offer sufficient value for those using the GPT4 model.

  • While the difference in content quality between GPT3.5 and GPT4 versions is not significant, the higher cost associated with GPT4 may not be worth it for some users.

Overall, KoalaWriter is an exceptional tool for those looking to produce high-quality SEO content in bulk. However, it may not be suitable for everyone, and users should carefully consider their needs and goals before committing to a plan.

Conclusion

In my experience, KoalaWriter is an excellent tool for businesses that require a large volume of content and want it to rank without much effort. If you’re not picky about your writing tone, KoalaWriter is a great choice. However, if you don’t need a large amount of content or prefer to write your own content, ChatGPT’s free version may be a better fit.
