The idea of making money online can be both exciting and appealing because it offers the potential for financial freedom, the ability to work from anywhere, and the opportunity to fire your own boss! However, the overwhelming feeling arises from the realization that there is a lot of information to digest and implement.

Now, let me start here. The overwhelm (and the mistakes I’ve made) – especially in the first 72 hours after being introduced to a make-money-online course.

Triple Jeopardy

Three weeks ago, I bought a make-money online course. A week later, I bought another one, and in less than a week, I bought a third – one of John Thornhill’s training courses. Yup… talking about taking the plunge into this magical realm of making money online!

As you can imagine, I’ve been very, very busy, and exhausted – physically and mentally. But I was desperate to master the art of digital moolah that could potentially change my life forever… so I tried to consume everything in the fastest humanly possible way. But as hours turned into days and days into weeks, I became so exhausted and impatient that soon enough, I went into survival mode battling against self-doubt and the temptation to binge-watch dog videos! Trust me, the struggle is real.

Life-saver

Lucky for me, before I died face-down on my keyboard, I came to my senses – thanks to John Thornhill and Randy Smith for reiterating in almost all of their training videos how important it is to go through the program as designed, to learn and implement, one baby step at a time. John’s course is literally keeping my sanity up to this time. And while it’s fueling my drive to make this work (for me), it is also keeping me from driving outside my lane, and cruising slow and steady… though I have to confess, sometimes I go into overdrive and binge-watch their videos!

First 72-hour costly mistakes

Mistake # 1: Ignoring the voice of reason.

You know that little voice in your head that says, “Hey, maybe this is too good to be true”? Yeah, I made the incredible decision to mute that voice, crank up the volume on my excitement, and dive headfirst into the abyss of online money-making schemes.

Mistake #2: Falling for the catchy sales pitch. Picture this: A slick-haired salesperson with an irresistible grin, promising me financial freedom in just a few simple steps. Like a love-struck puppy, I couldn’t resist the allure of easy money. I handed over my hard-earned cash faster than a cheetah chasing prey! Who can relate?!

Mistake #3: Believing I could make a fortune overnight.

Oh, the naivety! Reality hit me like a brick wall when I realized that building an online empire takes more time, effort, commitment and a sprinkle of fairy dust than I had initially presumed!

Mistake #4: Neglecting due diligence.

In my eagerness to jump on the online money-making bandwagon, I completely overlooked the most crucial step: researching the legitimacy of the course and its creator. Turns out, Mr. Moneybags McScamason had a shady history, and his course was about as effective as an umbrella in a hurricane.

Mistake #5: Neglecting the power of skepticism.

In just over three weeks, I bought several other ‘make money online’ shiny tools that promised me a secret formula for success, but what I got was a mishmash of outdated strategies, vague advice, and plain low quality products.

Lessons Learned

  • Listen to your gut feeling and that still small voice.
  • We don’t need every shiny tool, software, and e-book to succeed.
  • We need to dream big, but we must set realistic goals and expectations.
  • Always do your homework. Google the program, the people. Read the reviews.
  • When in doubt, ask. Build a network and seek mentorship.

Reflections

In the make money online universe, there exist get-rich schemes, fake testimonials, and myths such as not having enough time to do any online business or not having any guarantee that you’ll make money online.

But not all, and not all the time.

Not all online courses are created equal. Some are okay, few are good, and very few are exceptional like John’s course or I won’t be here talking about it today! I think that a well-structured course can save you time and effort by following a clear roadmap to success, like John’s crystal clear blueprint.

One thing is true (all the time!) though. Making money online requires effort and perseverance. Ultimately, success is up to me and you, and how we apply what we learn. Five days ago, I took a deep breath and a huge leap of faith and bought John’s course. Five days later, here I am writing a blog post! Perhaps it’s time to embrace the potential and see where it can take us in our journey to success.

To Your Success and Life in abundance,

Jennifer Belit
