INTRODUCTION
Success is getting things right but lack of success is just finding the wrong ways of doing things. Let’s discuss where we may be going wrong and see if the lack of success really is down to you.

STARTING OUT
We have probably all heard the cry “I tried that and it didn’t work”. This is one of the common excuses out for not making a success of something. A cry I have never heard is “I worked at that and it didn’t work”. Both of these sentences should have the suffix for me to be able to mean anything.

Why do I add this suffix? It may be they are talking about some of the more successful programs out there. Yes! They are not all scams by any stretch of the imagination. There are legitimate programs that some people say don’t work. It is time to take stock of what does and does not work. In my opinion, the biggest fault is more likely to be with the commentator rather than the program they are commenting on.

From my point of view, you should be sure of what you want to achieve before signing up for any program. Once you know what your goal is then you can decide if the program you are thinking of joining is going to be able to help you in achieving your goal.

Some programs offer far better opportunities than others especially when the program owner also offers you additional bonuses in the way of help in building your list or promoting your links for you.

It is time to look at some of the things that stop you from being successful. I always avoid using the fail word as the only way you are going to do that is by quitting!

COMMITMENT
If you have been involved in any program(s) in the past you should have been told all about commitment and the need for it. Any responsible marketer is going to want to look after your success. Let’s face it. They all have more than one program and they know you are unlikely to buy from them again if you are not successful.

Commitment is not something that lasts a few days or even a few weeks. It needs to be permanent. It is no good just committing for a few days or even a few weeks. You need to be committed and focussed on the job in hand. The first and the last thing you need to think about is your own ability to be able to commit yourself to the program you are joining.

I know from experience that this is very easy to say and sometimes very hard to commit yourself entirely to one thing. Sometimes you sign up to more than one thing and then find you don’t have the time to commit to both of them for some reason. The likelihood is you will not commit to either in the end.

It is very important that you just do one thing at a time. Sometimes the training you are doing will have you doing more than one thing at a time but this is alright as you are still committing to the one thing and that is the training you are doing.

CONSISTENCY
Once you have made your commitment then you need to be consistent. Like commitment, consistency is a permanent feature of your armory. If you are sending emails on a daily, every other day, weekly or any other time frame then you must be consistent. Your list will be used to the way you do business and they will expect that to remain the same.

Being consistent also means that you are sending the same type of message all the time. You must be promoting a product with the same enthusiasm on day 100 that you were showing on day 1 even if you have had no sales. It is this consistency that allows your list to read and see how you feel about a product. Never assume somebody cannot afford a product because they told you that at an earlier time. Their circumstances may have changed for the better.

PATIENCE
Is there such a thing as instant success? Yes, of course, there is. This only occurs when you invent something that everybody needs and wants. The likelihood of you being that person is quite rare. Accepting this is the first step towards the patience you need to make a success on the internet.

All the top quality internet entrepreneurs will tell you this. You need to spend time getting things right. If you were building a brick and mortar business you would be rather stupid if you were to think you would make your fortune on day one, so why would you expect to do that on the internet.

So along with your commitment you also need patience. If you follow the training you are given then you will make money, but not straight away. You may be lucky and make a small amount in the first month but you should be looking at a much longer term to start making real money.

Just accept the fact that you are not going to get a purchase every time you send an email out. The more patient you are the less you will be fretting about the success or lack of success of your business. If after a year you are not seeing any return then you should be looking towards a reason for that!

PERSEVERANCE
You must persevere with your marketing. Just because one email to your list doesn’t bring the desired results does not mean it is time to give up. The only way to fail in this business is to give up completely.

You must persevere with any project you have started and see it through to the end. There could be many reasons for a lack of taking up of your offer so you need to take a close look at what you have written to try to entice people to take up your particular product.

PROCRASTINATION
One of my nemeses, procrastination, has occurred far too often to have been of any help to me but of considerable help (unintentionally) to others.

Why procrastinate? Sometimes it is a method you use subconsciously to avoid doing something. The most obvious to me is the shiny object syndrome. Whether you fall for it or not you spend a lot of time looking at the opportunity and thinking about it when you already have a good program at your fingertips.

Perhaps it is the fear of success that guides you to trying or starting new things all the time. You know the grass is always greener on the other side – until you get there that is!

Can we avoid procrastination? Yes, of course, we can. We just have to be a lot stronger willed and believe in what we are doing.

CONCLUSION
I like many others before me and no doubt many others coming after me will fall into the trap of blaming everyone but themselves for their lack of success. Sometimes you have to step back and really look at yourself to realise where the fault lies.

How did I beat my gremlins and start on the ladder to success? Well I certainly didn’t do it on my own and I would recommend those who helped me to anyone who needs help. You can help yourself right now by registering for and watching this webinar. It certainly got me on the road to success.
