I’m on a quest to expose all the so-called Internet Marketing “Experts” that make false claims and defame the business. There are so many people out there making these claims of rapid success, and I truly wish the industry was more accountable. If you are new to this industry and/or serious about making Internet Marketing a full-time income source and are interested in avoiding some major roadblocks that could cost you tens of thousands of dollars, please keep reading on why I’m so angry about what these fake gurus are doing to the industry I love and why I am taking the time to write this post.

If you don’t know me already, my name is Brandon Michael. I started my journey of internet marketing years ago and before I reached any level of success, I had failed many times over. I have spent 10’s of thousands of dollars on courses and programs that have left me broke and defeated. I have been led in so many different directions I ended up feeling lost and not knowing who I could trust in the internet marketing industry. Listen, there are so many fake internet gurus out there that are extremely good at marketing themselves as experts to con you into buying their $997 course, but most of the information and content they are selling to the masses is nothing more than outdated & ineffective garbage. I have made it my mission to expose these tactics to enlighten as many people as possible, so they don’t fall into the financial traps I have found myself in over the years.

Now I want to set something straight, I absolutely love internet marketing and I truly believe when done the right way, massive benefits can come from it. There are many good at heart coaches, experts, and course creators out there that truly have their student’s best interest in mind & offer effective resources that can produce results, but if you are new to this industry, it can tend to be hard to tell the difference between the two. If you read until the end of this post, my goal is to have you walk away with two essential benefits; the knowledge and insight to be able to detect the difference between “fake guru’s” offering broken promises & credible marketers/experts with proven track records of helping others build profitable online businesses. Also, if you are serious about being a successful internet marketer, I will save you the time and money of searching for the right guidance and give you direct access to one of my personal coaches that has helped me, and thousands of others makeover a combined 20 million dollars in sales online.

Aside from energy, time is our #1 asset, I want you to know that I value your time as much as I value my own so I am going to say this bluntly if you are truly serious about Internet Marketing and when done right, the amazing benefits it has to offer, read until the end you will not be disappointed.

-If you are knowledgeable on the indications of an online scam, your chances of falling for one are likely to be reduced significantly. Here are 4 of the top warning signs to tell if someone is posing as a guru, so you don’t get scammed out of your irreplaceable time and hard-earned money.

1) Hyped-up promises that are simply too good to be true.

If you have been investing your time into the internet marketing industry for some time now then most likely Google, YouTube & Facebook’s algorithm has picked up your interests in this industry and is over flooding you with advertisements on their platforms. Some of the advertisements are coming from credible sources, but most of the ads you see every day are most definitely not. The question is, “How do you tell the difference between the two?” Well let me just say this, if the advertisement seems too good to be true, it most likely, 9/10 times, is too good to be true!

I am sure you have seen similar headlines and sales pitches like these examples below, many times.

– “Make Your First 10K in 7 days with as little as 30 minutes of work per day”
– “Build Your Income to 100K per month passively in as little as 30 Days”
– “Quit Your Job in 2 weeks with our Secret DFY Push Button System”

Don’t get me wrong, these offers sound amazing, especially to vulnerable people like I once was, who would do anything to get out of debt, take care of their family, quit their stressful 9-5 job, release their desperation of not wanting to live paycheck to paycheck anymore. Like I said before, psychological manipulation at its finest, taking advantage of good people. So please remember, if the offer sounds too good to be true, then it most likely is, too good to be true. Please, do your research! (Learn The Best Ways in #3).

2) Constantly trying to flaunt their material possessions for credibility

“If you want to own and cruise around in a beautiful Lamborghini like this one (rented) and live in a mansion like mine (rented), then make the best decision of your life now and take advantage of this offer today! It’s only available for a limited time only because spots (good people that do not know any better) are filling up fast and I can only show so many people”

Let me ask you a question; When was the last time you saw Warren Buffet, (One of the wealthiest people on this planet) post a photo of a car on social media? When have you seen billionaire Mark Zuckerberg market himself or his products with a Lamborghini in the background? How about Jeff Bezos? Never. They live simple lives with no need to impress people with materialistic items to persuade them into investing in their products and services. They have amazing enterprises behind them and that is what gives them the credibility, not Rolex’s & Gucci bags.

Simply put, fake gurus lack the financial success to serve as clickbait, so they must rely on tangible materialistic goods to attract the attention of good people looking to make a difference in their lives. It’s disgusting if you ask me and it’s happening right now as I write this post and most definitely while you are reading it. I, unfortunately, fell victim to many of these scams as a newbie in the industry, so I beg of you to please keep your wits about you before pulling out your wallet. Keep these words in mind for the next time you see the next flashy so-called “expert” showing you materials before results & credibility.

3) They Talk the Talk But Have No Clue How to Walk the Walk

Most of these wanna-be experts that preach they have all the answers to achieve financial freedom and build an unstoppable business on the internet, hilariously don’t even have a business of their own. Most of them bought a course, made a few grand, and then discovered how profitable the e-learning industry is so they decided to create a course to 10X their income. Yes, the e-learning trillion-dollar industry is by far one of the most lucrative industries to get into, but the primary goal should be to create products that actually help people succeed. The money that’s made from the venture should simply be the by-product of doing some good in this industry.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case for most people on the internet. They think about the money first and how they can scam the system to get around having to honor highly expected consumer refunds. To knowingly sell ineffective outdated products & courses to hardworking self-enlightened people trying to improve their lives, help their families, get out of debt, leave their stressful 9-5 job they hate going to every day, is considered theft in my book. There are so many people’s dreams and goals that get squashed and demolished every single day while these con artists sit back and watch their bank account balances rise. It’s destroying the industry I love and have passion for, and it makes me upset on so many levels.

“Always Research Legitimacy Before Making an Investment!”

When I see a Facebook or Google ad from the newest guru on the block, I will always look to see what kind of information I can find on them. “Why” you ask? Because most of these so-called experts don’t even have a business of their own in the market they call themselves experts in. A lot of these fake gurus these days will run Facebook ads from a page with no likes or followers and absolutely NO information on what they have done in the past or what they are currently doing now They have zero experience doing whatever it is that they are selling.

The best way to investigate if a course owner is an expert in what they are “teaching” is to simply check up on their personal social media accounts, LinkedIn profiles, Facebook business/fan pages, etc. Most of the time there will be no sign whatsoever of them even having a real business or any track record of having success in the area they call themselves experts in. Let me put it this way if someone is teaching you how to run a successful Shopify store, wouldn’t you feel more comfortable investing your hard-earned money and trust into their “expertise” if they were operating a store of their own? Unfortunately, it is very common these days for these so-called “experts” to teach their followers how to start a business in a market they haven’t even started themselves, It’s just sad.
Another great way is to check out reviews on YouTube. If you want the most honest reviews, try to steer away from those who are trying to sell you the course or product as an affiliate and look for reviews from people that bought the course or product to see what they have to say about it. Watch as many as you can before making an investment and if they all seem to lean in the same direction, it’s a good indicator that you will end up in the same position.

4) Covering up Greed with Sympathetic Gesture’s

Another sign of a Fake Guru is they push on to their audience that they are all about giving back to their followers. They preach that since they have already reached incredible levels of success, their main goal now is to “Help” everyone reach the same level of success they have. Although this may sound sincere and heartfelt, it’s just another deceiving psychological tactic used to lure in people to buy their B.S. ineffective courses, products, masterminds, etc. You may have heard sales pitches like this before.

“Normally this program sells for $4,997 (no proof or record of that anywhere), but I know this would be way out of the price range for most people just starting out. My goal is to give back and “Help” as many people succeed as possible, so I am willing to drop the price today by a whopping 90% and offer it to you for only $497!… PLUS, for all you action takers out there, If you take action now you will get my super-secret mega bonus (A.K.A. Extraordinary Marketers, Unethical Tactics and Faulty Products

Listen, I am a marketer, so I understand the power of urgency, but ONLY when it’s knowingly used in an ethical and honest way offering resources that are in the consumer’s best interest. I tell you; these are extraordinary marketers that unfortunately underdeliver with their unethical tactics and faulty products. It’s a complete shame because most of these “Fake Gurus” are good marketers who instead of faking the skills they don’t possess, could put the skills they do have to good use by simply marketing effective products and services that actually make a difference in people’s lives. Although they probably won’t make as much money, their service to the industry would at least be ethical and trustworthy.

Now take the people that actually have successful businesses and decide to offer a course, program, and/or mastermind. They never use the “I just want to help you because I care” angle to market their products, hell, most of them choose not to be perceived as a “Guru”. Although it really is their intention to help their students, they will advertise themselves and their services in a more straightforward and honest approach exclaiming something along the lines of:

“I know what it’s like just starting out, I’ve been there! I’ve failed many times over before I discovered the right way of doing things. The investment you are making today is for the decade of experience and knowledge I can offer you to eliminate roadblocks and financially benefit from the mistakes I made so you don’t have to repeat them. After trial and error and thousands of dollars of testing, I can show you the right way to be successful in this industry”.

This still shows they have considered helping their students, but in a more straightforward and trustworthy way leveraging their experience and credibility to prove they can actually deliver results!

“Experienced Gurus are Like Diamonds: They are both Rare, have many fakes, but they both Exist”

As I told you in the beginning, I would make sure you left here today with two essential benefits:
– In this post, we went over many reasons why people get caught up in the “shiny object/fake guru” trap and how to successfully prevent it from happening to you. You are now more knowledgeable on who and what to trust on the internet these days to avoid making the wrong investment with your hard-earned money and wasting your precious irreplaceable time in the wrong direction. Personally, I wish I knew some of these shady tactics when I first started out in this industry, I would most definitely be further along than I am right now, without a doubt.

– Now the second benefit I promised is specifically for those who are really trying to take internet marketing seriously and haven’t found the right guidance to take things to the next level and beyond. If you are anything like me, I understand your passion and drive to want to create a better lifestyle for you and your family. Whether you despise your 9-5 job, are sick of living paycheck to paycheck, or just simply want to live the internet business, laptop lifestyle that thousands of other people are currently living, I just want you to know that it is 100% possible under certain circumstances.

Aside from goal setting, taking action & being consistent, one of the MAJOR differences between those who succeed in this industry and those who fail is the guidance & coaching they each receive. I’ve personally spent tens of thousands of dollars on courses, coaches, and mentors, and to be generous, only about 20% of the guidance I received is responsible for the majority of the amazing results I am getting in my business today. The 80/20 principle at its finest…
