I have dabbled in Affiliate <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marketing has failed each time. Why? It was my mindset that came from my <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">beliefs. The beliefs I\u2019ve been carrying since I was a child and held me back. <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8342\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.johnthornhill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/mimi-thian-ZKBzlifgkgw-unsplash.jpeg?resize=300%2C225&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.johnthornhill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/mimi-thian-ZKBzlifgkgw-unsplash-scaled.jpeg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.johnthornhill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/mimi-thian-ZKBzlifgkgw-unsplash-scaled.jpeg?resize=1024%2C768&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.johnthornhill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/mimi-thian-ZKBzlifgkgw-unsplash-scaled.jpeg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.johnthornhill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/mimi-thian-ZKBzlifgkgw-unsplash-scaled.jpeg?resize=1536%2C1152&amp;ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.johnthornhill.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/mimi-thian-ZKBzlifgkgw-unsplash-scaled.jpeg?resize=2048%2C1536&amp;ssl=1 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>My Beliefs Were:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> People will and did say I was crazy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> People put me down. \u201cYou can\u2019t make money online\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I doubted myself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I can\u2019t do this.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Good things happen to other people.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I\u2019m not smart enough.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Money doesn\u2019t bring you happiness.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Money is the root of all evil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I don\u2019t have anything of value to share&#8230;and the list goes on.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I didn\u2019t believe I could earn a living online knew I had to change <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">my thinking to get myself unstuck and change my life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>How and Why I Changed my Mindset.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was as simple and hard as I woke up one day and thought, \u201cThere has to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be more to life than this. I\u2019m 65. I don&#8217;t own a home, I struggle to make <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ends meet and one day my rental may no longer be available. \u201cThis scared <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">me and I knew that day I had to make a decision to get my act together. No <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">more sitting on my butt worrying about the future, no more living in the past. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I had to change my life if I wanted to feel any form of security and eliminate <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">my stress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I realised if I wanted a better life I had to stop doing what I was doing and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">believing and start working on my mindset. Some don\u2019t believe in self help <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and meditation. I thought what I believed was right and anything else was BS. <\/span><span>So I started hunting, looking for help to change how I think. <\/span><span>I said <\/span>earlier that changing is simple and hard, let me explain.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The simple part is making the decision and finding the resources, the hard <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">part is letting go of my old beliefs, taking action and believing I can do this. I <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">remember my first self help audiobook by Jen Ciincero, I was skeptical at <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">first but that one audiobook has changed me for the good.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I Learned:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To love myself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To trust myself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To believe in myself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To work on me every day.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I am in control of my life.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I can succeed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I will succeed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Let go of my fear and take a leap of faith.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Affiliate Marketing is a business and is no different from brick-and-mortar <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">business, both need action, investment and more importantly, a never <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">give up mindset.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We all look at people who have had success being an <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">affiliate or whatever they do and ask how they do it. When I look at people <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">who have already succeeded in any industry, I ask what they have that I <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">don\u2019t. I\u2019m willing to bet that we are not that different, we are all <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Human.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether you are on your way to success or have already succeeded and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are living your dream life. We are the only ones who can change our <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">situation, no one will change it for us. It was a hard lesson to learn for me <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">because the scared child in me was always waiting for someone to save me.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span>People who have already reached their goals no doubt had bumps in <\/span>the road but, it isn\u2019t the bump that matters, it is the way you handle the bump. You have two choices when you hit a bump, give up or find a way over the bump.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is a light at the end of every tunnel you just have to look for it. If <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you\u2019re not sure how or where to start, or how to handle the bumps, find <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">someone to help you. It\u2019s not easy to find someone who you click with and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trust to lead the way. For the last three months I have been running around in <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">circles trying different programs, spending money I didn\u2019t need to and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">banging my head against a brick wall <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I almost gave up. I&#8217;m lucky I stuck to what I wanted, I accidentally stumbled <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">upon John Thornhill, and I decided to put my trust in him. I was so relieved to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">finally find a down-to-earth, no hype or BS kinda guy. I knew when I listened <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to John that things will be different for me this time.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve only been learning <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">from John for a few days and I can already see the value. I&#8217;m <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">getting my business set up rather than scratching my head after listening to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">others who just confused me.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The moral to all this is so important, never give up, climb that mountain and <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">get to the top, believe in yourself and love yourself enough to reach your <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">goals and live your dreams. My new journey means everything to me, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">without my will to reach my goals, I may lose my beloved horse and dog, and I <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">could also end up homeless.
