Most people don’t fail because of the big things but rather, due to small things that are overlooked. Your success is the result of your choices or decisions regardless it’s positive or negative.

Most people still fail in online business – don’t be one of them.

I’ll share with you the common mistakes people do and if you can prevent these, you’ll make it faster:

Mistake # 1 – Not Having Enough Focus

Most people don’t really focus on one thing… Nowadays, it’s an issue that people have a short attention span. They end up not finishing a task as they easily get distracted, thus missing a lot of important information then results to a poor performance.

They resemble to a log decaying in the forest for a long time and just thinking and asking why they don’t burst into flames when they can get a magnifying glass to focus the sun’s rays so it can catch a fire quickly.

Mistake # 2 – Quitting Too Soon

Majority of people quit. A lot of people are quitters… or just good as starters.

A lot of people never finish – which implies they never get an outcome – and unendingly push in their minds the thoughts and activities of somebody who quits. You need to stay with something sufficiently long enough to achieve results!

Mistake # 3 – They Focus On The Wrong Audience

People want stuff for free. That’s great! But the key here is to zero in on individuals who are eager to pay.

The issue with that is it’s costly. As most of the time, your offer is ignored as you dial-in your marketing message. And we hate being ignored or rejected, right? And so you end up spending a lot on ads targeting the wrong people who won’t or can’t pay for what you’re selling.

Spend time to target on people you KNOW who will spend money in your offer and not some people who are just after what you can give to them for free.

Mistake # 4 – Nothing Interesting About You Or Your Offer

It’s a “me as well” world out there. Everyone has a “me as well” offer that they replicate from another person.

You should have an edge that makes your offer or service different and remarkable compared to your competitors. Otherwise, you’re just another product that they buy because it’s cheaper and more affordable. Or your freebies are more interesting!

Mistake # 5 – No Consistency In Marketing

How are you going to put your sales message consistently in front of the right people?

Just like with anything, you need to strive to be consistent in your marketing efforts. It cannot be an on/off deal like the last diet you tried out. You need to be consistent in the quality, quantity and message your marketing portrays. Honestly, this is a struggle for me, too.

Without consistency, you’re just like a mere speck in the big body of ocean. However, consistency will give you the leads you want, convert your leads to customers and increase customer engagement and reviews.

If you’re a product creator, once your product is ready to sell, you become a marketer, no longer a product creator. So you should be effective in marketing!

Mistake # 6 – Not Following Up

The fortune is in the follow-up! We always hear this. And it’s true.

Most people don’t do this. That’s why you should NEVER take a ‘No” response for an answer. You have no way of knowing why a prospect hasn’t answered. And the only way to find out is to follow up. “No’ probably just means, “Not now.”

Retargeting people who saw your ad and reached the check out expressed interest in maybe buying from you but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Following up adds value to the service or product the customer purchased from you and gives you an opportunity to build a relationship that could lead to additional sales from the same consumer and referrals to more potential clients.

Mistake # 7 – Not Willing To Pay The Price To Learn How To Earn

You need to invest money to make money. Just like having a brick and mortar business, we all must pay a price when it comes to online business, too. It may be a software tool, traffic generation, product development, etc. Or all of the above and more.

Most people are anxious to pay for those tools. Since they’re not willing to pay for the tools that will help them to earn, they just keep on going around all corners of the online business and actually never really have done much.

Invest in them and believe me, it’s definitely worth it in the end. And one of the best training programs I’ve ever enrolled in is by my mentor, John Thornhill’s program.

Starting is always the hardest. If you pass that initial stage and get things where they’re stable and systematized, it will make it a lot easier.

Remember: Focus, learn, discover what makes you different and target the right people who are willing to invest in your offer once you showed a solution to their problem, and help them also produce results.
